About

Who am I?

I’m a self taught photography with an attachment to my macro lens. My dreamy photography goal is to be the photographer to call when a photo of a plant, flower, shrub, basically any horticultural item is needed for a publication. Although plants are often my subject of choice, I do point my camera beyond the horticultural record. I love capturing life’s details: a seasonal cocktail, a puppy’s curiosity, family moments, and all the details that make the world beautiful.

Why Blog?

I’m not a huge fan of documenting my entire life for the world to see. Is any one? My photography is a journey and a passion I wish to share. I want to learn more and do more with my camera and my developing talent. Maybe, I can help someone else along the way. But, I’m not completely altruistic. Blogs are a great tool for self-promotion and who doesn’t need to know how to navigate social media marketing? Learning to market myself and my art is another step in the photography journey.
